US OPEN CAPOEIRA TOURNAMENT 2009

REGISTRATION

The registration process is simple. The Capoeira player will send the following information:

  • Name
  • Physical Address
  • Email Address
  • Capoeira school/group
  • Shirt size
  • Male/Female
  • Category/Division
INFORMATION ABOUT CATEGORIES AND DIVISIONS

Since there is so much variety among Capoeira schools in terms of graduation and initiating a comparative process can be a huge and difficult task. The definition of beginner, intermediate, and advanced established by the US OPEN CAPOEIRA Tournament is by time of practice in Capoeira.

GAMES

  • Beginner - any Capoeira player with up to 2 1/2 years of practice
  • Intermediate - any Capoeira player with up 2 1/2 to 5 years of practice
  • Advanced - any Capoeira player with up to 5 years of practice
  • Special Division - capoeira instructors and professors

SOLOS

For this division there is no category required and players from any level can compete.

PAYMENT

The registration is $40 if the competitor registers before Sunday, October 5th, 2009. No late registration accepted and no refunds will be granted. If the competitor is participating in both GAMES and SOLOS the fee is $65.

RULES

Once the competitor sends his registration information with the payment we will send him or her the rules for their division.

UNIFORMS

The competitor is required to wear the uniform of his school and the competitors shirt provided by the US OPEN Capoeira Tournament organization.
